I was working last night and was doing the dairy aisle of cheeses, butters and fats.
A box came in that I didn’t recognise, opened it up.
Well as you’ll know, easter is nearly here so what could it be.
Nope, your wrong.
It’s a cheese easter egg.
Yep, a cheese, easter, egg.
It’a half egg from the front of cheese and the rear half has oatcakes (five very small ones),
and a small sachet of chutney.
Oh and it’s £5 (USD$7).
I should of expected this after last christmas when we got Ilchester cheese advent calendars.
As you may see, there is even bad jokes on the back of the advent calendar door.
What cheese is made backwards? Edam.
What’s a Pirates favourite cheese? Chedd-arrrgghhh.

That advent calendar is the best thing I’ve ever seen.

But it’s an advent calendar, you keep in your fridge.
They aren’t small by any means.
It’s nearly two” deep, by 11" tall by 8" wide.
British/European fridges generally are much small than North American fridges. So two would take up more than half a shelf of a three/four shelf fridge.

Ilchester is quite good cheese to be fair.
I just wish we didn’t sell so many different cheeses.

It’s like a Kinder Egg but the surprise inside is constipation.
If you really want to do easter right, do it Brazilian style with an 8-12 inch chocolate egg filled with bon-bons and other treats.

Easter eggs should be chocolate or something.
If you need to keep the thing in a fridge.
Even chocolate easter eggs are getting crazy.
I don’t recall easter in Holland when I was there.

You’ve not seen the cheese section of a French supermarket?

Not for some years.
Our store isn’t particularly big but the number of options is crazy.
Over 800 different types, flavours and sizes of cheese.

We’ve short of 300 different sizes, types and flavours of easter eggs.
Some are about the same size if not larger than that one.

No. Grrr.
I had four and a half cages/roll comps of cheese, butter and fats last night. I wasn’t a happy bunny. Lol.

Or, if you’re lactose intolerant, the surprise will be the exact opposite.
